Myrtle Point Club Policies

PACE OF PLAY

We take Pace of Play very seriously. It is the expectation of the Club that a 9 hole round is completed in 2 hour 15 minutes and 18 hole rounds in 4 hours and 30 minutes or less. Golfers who are not maintaining pace of must let groups behind them play through on request.

DRESS CODE

ATTIRE PERMITTED ON THE GOLF COURSE, DRIVING RANGE, AND PRACTICE AREA:

Men’s Shirts must have collars and sleeves
Women’s shirts must have a collar, sleeves or min 2” shoulder strap.

ATTIRE PERMITTED IN THE CLUBHOUSE:

Appropriate golf, sports, casual or semi-formal attire are all acceptable

ATTIRE NOT PERMITTED ON THE GOLF COURSE, DRIVING RANGE, PRACTICE AREAS, AND CLUBHOUSE:

Sport shorts, short shorts, cut-offs, miniskirts, midriff- baring, swimsuits, sweatpants, muscle shirts, halter tops, tube tops, mesh shirts, sports jerseys, frayed or torn material of any kind. Display of any logo, slogan, illustration, or emblem on any apparel (including without limitation hats, short, shirts, pants, skirts, or jackets) or golf equipment that promotes, supports, comments on, or criticizes any person or any matter or thing currently or formerly associated with, representing, or forming part of any political or religious organization or social cause movement.

COURSE ETIQUETTE

Players must start from the tee box that they are directed to start on by the Pro Shop or starter. Each player in a group is required to have their own set of clubs. Players must maintain the course they play. This includes repairing ball marks on greens, replacing divots with sand, raking bunkers, and being
mindful of pull-carts/bags near greens. Abuse or neglect may result in suspension of privileges.

POWER CARTS

Golfers must be a minimum of 16 years old and possess a drivers licence to operate a Power Cart. Power Carts must remain on the cart paths on all Par 3 holes. Power Carts are not to be driven to the apron of Greens and must remain a minimum of 40 feet from Greens.

Power Carts must also stay off mounding, severe slopes and tee box areas.
Abuse or neglect may result in suspension of golf and/or power cart privileges.

RESTAURANT & BAR

Running a tab at the Orca Bar & Grill is a membership privilege. At the close of business each day any unpaid tabs will be charged to the members account including a 20% service charge. If there are insufficient funds in the members account to cover the tab, all club privileges will be
suspended until the outstanding balance is paid in full. Repeated abuse or neglect may result in suspension of membership and/or loss of tab privileges.

JUNIORS

Juniors may access tee times after 2:00pm

Juniors will receive one complimentary bucket of range balls per day. Juniors may also be fitted into groups on a standby basis anytime Mon-Thu and after 12:00pm Fri-Sun at the discretion of the pro shop.

SMOKING

Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the Clubhouse, outside patios, the practice green or driving range. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas near the club house or in the upper parking lot. Smokers are prohibited from dropping butts on the course or in course garbage cans. Smokers must ensure cigarettes are fully extinguished.

MUSIC

Music must not disturb groups ahead of or behind you on the course. Excessively loud music is prohibited.

Abuse or neglect of any of these rules may result in suspension of golfing privileges.
